About Me:
Cambie was the first secondary school in Richmond. When it first started
in 1928, it was known as Richmond High. Later on it changed its name to
Henry James Cambie Secondary School. It was named after a Chinese
engineer named Henry James. Henry James was an engineer for the CPR
(Canadian Pacific Railway). He also helped in designing some of the roads
in Vancouver and Richmond. Cambie was named after him for his
contribution to Richmond.
In 1995 Cambie moved to its current location after the old Cambie
school had been condemned as a fire hazard, and suffered
almost 80 years of decay.
Cambie has always been strong in sports and it had continued its
tradition in the new Cambie school. In the past 6 years, the Cambie
sports program has won many titles. In fact, Cambie captured so many
titles in sports that the whole gym is surrounded by banners.

most rememberable momment of my grad
year is that they had to retake the
grad class standing outside in
the "shape" of 02, 3 times. and we
still didnt get it right. if your
